Generation gap….a common phenomena

What is a generation gap? In my dictionary, it's when the people of one generation tend to despise or show an indifference towards the other generation's "traditions" and "practices".
For example, what would your mom do if you got a tattoo? Or what would does your dad say when he sees your new hair style?
For the elders, auntyji, how would your daughter react if you forced her to wear salwar suits only? My dear uncle, what does your son say when you tell him to stay away from the laptop?

What seems awful to one generation, seems appealing to the other generation, that's, ladies and gentlemen, the GENERATION GAP.

Firstly, this phenomenon used to occur between Grandpas and Grandsons, but that was back in the yester-years. That time even the color televisions hadn't even hit the Indian market :P
But there was lesser conflicts and the resentment among teens was uncommon.

Then came our time, the guy and girls of GenX. You're almost around 20 now. Do you remember your teen years? Yeah, the good old days! :D
The Gap was between Dad and Son…the consecutive generations. There was a time when buying a decent multimedia set of Nokia required hours of pleading before the parents, then one could become eligible for the classic Nokia 1100 :P
Yes, life was still a struggle, which gave rise in the resentment among youths, which is properly known as "Youngistan". What can we do? We are in a dangerous period of our lives! We have to deal with our studies, peer pressure and the goddamned hormones! We already have enough on our mind. Yet, we survive. That's how it goes.

But now what we are witnessing, are highly dangerous times. Make sure you have fastened your seat belts, because this is going to be one hell of a ride.!
Nowadays, the generations have evolved and dilated to such an extent, that sometimes, it's impossible for the people of the same generation to understand each other! Say for example, brothers.
I and my younger brother are six years apart. But still, I can't figure out the desperate need of his to keep a cellphone. I just don't get it. I lived without a cell phone till class XI and it was just fine. But I tell you these younger kids….Kuch had se zyada hi advanced hain!!

Check it out for yourself, all you have to do is just go through the Facebook wall of any teenager who is currently under 16. I promise you, you'll witness the lamest updates and posts. I don't know what the problem with them is, but documenting your each and every thought on the internet isn't fabulous, it's all not diamonds.
It's us, the on-the-break-of-adulthood people that can't decipher these kids, let alone our parents. They are just as clueless as we are.

Well I guess this is what generation gap is, and the way that it's proceeding, there may be a situation possible in the future that even twins might face some retribution among themselves: P
